The Company

Spectral Audio was established in 1995. The foundation succeed after the successful building of an analogue synthesizer - the birth of the ProTone.

The ProTone was manufactured with different colored front palettes. A pure analogue synthesizer with a special filter. The production of ProTone is stopped since 1998.

With the Syntrack a complete new device was developed, which uses the advantage of analogue sound in combination with the advantages of digital technique (save settings, MIDI). Syntrack offers 99 programs and is fully MIDI controlled. With the Syntrack the Cascade filter technique came into SA products and gives the warm sound to this device. For rougher sounds there is also a built-in distortion section. A exchangeable wavetable-oscillator gives a wide audio spectrum to this device.

In the beginning of 1999 the Neptune was released. Its layout is similar to the known ProTone but it sounds complete different because of its cascade self resonant filter. A third oscillator came into it and a complete second ADSR envelope for only the filter. MIDI improvements where released like LFO modulation and synchronization and its Slide (portamento) controller.

Released in February 2003 : the Neptune MkII. Further improvements where made to this known Analog Synthesizer.

Released in March 2006: the Cyclus 3 MIDI Analog Sequencer.
